Agent Ready Shops

Privacy

This page covers Agent Ready Shops ("we"): this website, agentreadyshops.com, its free Shopify audit, and the free Agent Ready Shops plugin for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads stores. The short version: the plugin runs on your own site and sends nothing to us, and this website collects very little.

What this website collects

  • Your email, if you join the waitlist. We store the address and the time you signed up. We use it only to email you about the paid "fix it for me" service, and we don't sell or share it.
  • A count of plugin downloads. For each download we record the time, the page that linked to it and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), so we can see which links people use. We don't record your IP address or anything else that identifies you.
  • Anonymous visit counts. Our server counts page views, downloads and waitlist sign-ups (never the email address) in our own analytics service, not a third party's. Each count carries the page, the site that linked to it, any campaign tags, your country (from Cloudflare) and the kind of device. To count unique visitors, the server mixes your IP address and browser name into a code that changes every day and can't be turned back into either; the IP address itself is never stored or sent. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don't count your visit at all.

The site runs no analytics or advertising scripts in your browser, and its fonts are served from our own server. To stop repeated sign-up spam, the server briefly keeps the IP address of a waitlist sign-up in memory (for about ten minutes); it isn't written to disk. Like any website, requests pass through our hosting and network provider (Cloudflare), which processes them to deliver and protect the site.

The Shopify audit

When you audit a Shopify store at agentreadyshops.com/shopify, our server reads that store's public pages, the same ones any shopper's browser loads: its public product list, up to 8 product pages, robots.txt, /.well-known/ucp and its policy pages. We don't keep the store's product data beyond the report itself. We record:

  • The audit: the store's address (and the other addresses it goes by, such as its myshopify.com address), the time and the score, so we can count how many stores have been checked.
  • The report, behind its share link: each audit's report (the score, the findings and the names and addresses of the public products it points to) is kept under a long random link so you can come back to it or share it. Anyone with the link can see that report; nobody can find it without the link, and search engines are told not to list it. It holds no email or IP address, and it's deleted 90 days after the audit.
  • Visits and audits for our 60-day test: the time, and a code made from your IP address with a secret key that is destroyed when the test ends, so we can count unique visitors without storing your IP address. Visits are counted only when the page's script runs in your browser.
  • If you join the Shopify waitlist: your email, the store you audited, how you're connected to it and your answer to our pricing question. We use these only to tell you when paid fixes launch and to see how many stores want them. Nothing else, no sharing, no other mail.

When you join, we give you a private link, and keep it in a cookie (ars_r) in your browser so you can find it again. That link is how you see, change or delete your answer, and deleting it removes your email and answers at once. To stop abuse, the server keeps your IP address in memory, never on disk, for up to an hour while it applies the audit limits.

What the plugin does

The audit runs entirely inside your WordPress site. It reads your product or download catalog, fetches a few of your own pages (robots.txt, /.well-known/ucp and some product pages) the way a crawler would, and saves the report in your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent to us, there's no account, and nothing is shared on a schedule.

The one external call: the optional AI shopper test

The plugin talks to one outside service, Anthropic's API, and only for the optional AI shopper test. It runs only after an administrator adds their own Anthropic API key and clicks "Run AI shopper test". Each run sends:

  • your store's name;
  • for 10 sampled products: ID, title, price and currency, stock status, category names, brand, attributes, the number of images, whether a valid GTIN is set (yes or no), and the start of the short and long descriptions;
  • for Easy Digital Downloads, instead: for 10 sampled downloads, ID, title, the kind of download (software, ebook, audio, video or other), price or price options and currency, whether it's free, category and tag names, the number of images, whether a SKU is set (yes or no), which key facts were found, and the start of the excerpt and description with links and shortcodes removed. Never your download files, file links, licence keys, customers or orders;
  • your API key, to authenticate the request.

No customer, order, user or other personal data is sent, and the plugin shows you exactly what it will send before you click. That request goes from your site straight to Anthropic, not through us, and Anthropic's privacy policy and commercial terms apply to it.

How long we keep things

Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove yours, or until we decide not to build the service, whichever comes first. Shopify waitlist answers are kept until you delete them, and at most 12 months after the 60-day test ends. The test's visit and audit records are reduced to totals 90 days after it ends. Download records hold no personal data and are kept as long as they're useful for measuring.

Your choices

To change or delete a Shopify waitlist answer, use the private link we gave you. Without it, or to see, correct or delete any other email we hold for you, or to ask anything about this policy, email [email protected]. If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.
