Can AI assistants read your products?
Agent Ready is a free WordPress plugin that scores your WooCommerce catalog from 0 to 100 on what ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity rely on: GTINs, attributes, descriptions, categories and structured data. It runs on your site, takes a few minutes, and shows you the three fixes that matter most.

Example store, 212 products. Illustrative, not real data.
Most Woo catalogs were built for people looking at a page, not for software reading it.
People have started asking AI assistants what to buy. How much they buy that way today is still unclear, and anyone who gives you a number is guessing. What isn't unclear is what those assistants work from: your product data.
If a product has no GTIN, a three-line description and its specs buried in a paragraph, an assistant has little to go on. It can't tell your running shoe from the next one, so it recommends the one it can read.
A product can look fine in your theme and still be missing the fields a machine needs. You don't need a new protocol or a rebuilt store to fix this. Most of the work is boring data hygiene, and you can find out how much of it you have in about ten minutes.

Three steps, all on your own server
-
Install and run
Add the plugin, open Agent Ready in your dashboard and press Run audit. It samples up to 500 of your published products, favoring your newest and best sellers.
-
It checks your catalog where it lives
Thirteen checks run inside your own WordPress site. No account, no sign-up, and no product data sent anywhere.
-
Get your score and top 3 fixes
A 0–100 score, a breakdown by check, and the specific products that need work. Print it, export a CSV, or send it to your developer.
Nothing is sent from your site unless you click "Send my report" yourself, and the form shows you exactly what would be sent first.

What it checks
Thirteen checks worth 100 points. About three-quarters of the score is product-data quality, not technical plumbing. That's deliberate.
Can an assistant identify your products?
- GTINs and MPNs 15 pts
- Does each product and variation carry a valid barcode number, or a brand plus part number? We check the digits, not just that the field isn't empty.
- Titles 5 pts
- Readable, descriptive, and more than a bare SKU.
- Categories 8 pts
- Do your product categories map to Google's product categories?
Can it understand them?
- Required attributes 10 pts
- Brand, condition and, where they apply, color, size, material, gender and age group.
- Structured attributes 5 pts
- Are your specs stored as real Woo attributes, or buried in a paragraph?
- Descriptions 10 pts
- Long enough to say something, with specs or bullets, not copied from the short description or the manufacturer.
- Variations 8 pts
- Does every variation have a price, stock status, image and SKU?
Can it trust and show them?
- Images 8 pts
- Enough of them, big enough, with alt text.
- Offer basics 5 pts
- Price, stock status and SKU set. No zero-price items.
- Schema.org markup 10 pts
- We fetch five of your product pages and check for Product data: offer, price, currency, availability, image, brand and GTIN.
Can it reach your store?
- AI crawler access 6 pts
- Whether your robots.txt blocks GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended or ClaudeBot.
- Merchant Center 6 pts
- Whether Google for WooCommerce or a feed plugin is connected and syncing.
- Agent discovery files 4 pts
- Whether
/.well-known/ucpor an ACP file exists. Low weight: these are becoming a free default and aren't where the gains are.

Rather not do the data work by hand?
At the end of your report there's an optional button. We're considering a paid service that fills in missing GTINs, attributes and categories for you. It would never publish anything on its own: every change is staged for you to approve, and we'd leave out regulated categories such as supplements, cosmetics and children's goods.
It doesn't exist yet. We want to know whether it's worth building. If you'd use it, join the waitlist after your audit and tell us which size fits. If not, ignore it. The audit works the same either way.

Planned pricing: targets, not promises. If we build it, waitlist members hear first. Joining costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Questions
Is the audit really free?
Yes. The plugin is free, it isn't limited, and it works without an account. There's no locked "pro" version of the audit.
What leaves my site?
Nothing, by default. The audit runs on your server. If you choose to click "Send my report" or "Join the waitlist", the form first shows you exactly what will be sent: your email, your store URL, your score, some anonymized totals (such as how many products, and the percentage passing each check) and the tier you picked. It never includes product names, descriptions, prices, customer or order data.
Will it slow down my store?
The audit runs in the background in small batches, on demand only. It doesn't add anything to your front end. It does fetch five of your own product pages to read their markup.
What does it cost?
The audit is free. The paid "fix it for me" service is planned at roughly $19–29 a month (up to 250 products) and $49–79 a month (up to 2,500). Those are targets, and the service isn't built. We only build it if enough people ask.
How is this different from a product feed plugin?
Feed plugins send your catalog to Google, Meta and others. Agent Ready grades the catalog before it goes anywhere. It tells you what's missing, such as GTINs and attributes, which is what feeds and assistants both depend on. It doesn't replace your feed plugin, and it works alongside Google for WooCommerce.
Will this make ChatGPT recommend my products?
No. Nobody can promise that, and we won't. Agent Ready measures whether your data is complete and readable. A higher score removes obvious reasons to be skipped; it doesn't buy placement.
Do I need UCP or ACP?
Probably not right now. Those are agent checkout protocols that platforms like Woo and Stripe are rolling out themselves. We report whether the files exist, but they're a small part of the score.
Which stores does it work with?
WordPress 6.4+, WooCommerce 8.5+, PHP 7.4+.
